If you're following Jesus with all your heart, it is very likely that life hasn't been the easiest for you. Wonderful plans and great ideas often go awry, and you're left scratching your head asking "what's up with that, Lord?!?" And, it's often in the midst of these "trials" that the Lord seems to ask more of you than you think you have to give! If that's you, then join us this Saturday as we dive into Matthew 14, and look at Jesus, as well as His disciples, to see how they deal with some difficult circumstances. Their response to God in these tough situations gives us direction & hope to take our faith to the next level!

Matthew 12: Deconstruction

This week we look at the happenings of Matthew 12. The chapter is full of examples of Jesus speaking truth--hard truth that strikes through the outer facade and into the heart of the matters at hand. Join us as we examine Jesus's hard-hitting words and contemplate their relevance in our lives today.

Matthew 11: Even the Best Question God

Have you questioned or doubted God lately? If so, did you feel guilty about it? How do you think God feels about it? We'll be looking for answers this Saturday as we dive back into the Matthew Series, covering chapter 11. The life of John the Baptist sheds a lot of light on the deep places of our questioning, as well as some of the reasons we struggle with God's answers. But, like Amy Grant sings - "the honest cries of breaking hearts, are better than a Hallelujah." So come with your questions openly, and let's get real with a real God.

Matthew 10: Worthy

We will be looking at the disciples becoming apostles and the instructions Jesus gave them. We will also be looking at what message Jesus was conveying to us and how he transforms those who are unworthy to become worthy. What it means to love Him above all others. And how far we are willing to go with our love.

Matthew 9: A Day in the Life of Jesus

Think of what a normal day in your life looks like. If it is anything like mine, it is probably consumed with accomplishing the tasks at hand, whether at work, home or church... oh, and hopefully some fun! Jesus' life was not much different, with perhaps the exception that He was always at work accomplishing that which the Father called Him to, but perhaps not in the way we think of it. This week we will dig below the surface in Matthew 9 and see the life and healing that Jesus brought in just one day of His life, all made possible through the power of His grace and truth. We will not only be encouraged and challenged by the power of the testimony of what took place on this day, but also learn some powerful truths from the words that were spoken. Do not be disheartened or distracted, come and enjoy some much needed fellowship and life giving truths from God's word!

Matthew 7: Are You Partly In, Mostly In, or ALL In with Jesus?

As we conclude Jesus' Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 7, the question to each of us today is the same one that His hearers on the mountain had to answer back then... do we keep following Him? At the end of chapter 7, the crowd following Jesus had seen and heard things unlike they'd ever experienced before, and now had to decide what they were going to do about it. Jesus' teachings were never "take it or leave it" in nature, and He certainly didn't call anyone to follow at a distance. His eternal truths still call to us today... "This is how it is in My heavenly Kingdom. Will you join Me in making it so on earth?"

Matthew 6: The Secret Place

We will be looking at Jesus's instructions in Matthew 6 concerning doing charitable deeds, prayer, fasting, and storing up treasures. Jesus calls us to be a people more concerned with the secret place inside us, that only God sees and knows about, rather than wanting to receive recognition or reward from men. We need to continue to seek after the kingdom of God, pursue righteousness, and not worry about what will happen tomorrow. God sees us for who we really are and we need to ask ourselves if we have been more concerned with what others think about us rather than what is really going on inside us. It is the things that we do in secret that God will reward us for.
