Tips & Tricks for AFO1 Products

August 1, 2021

Our posterior product, FreeFlow, and our anterior product, Glide, are designed for clinical efficiency and patient comfort. They share similar features, including our Boa® Fit technology and our trimmable, all-sizes-in-one design. We've put together a couple of tricks and tips for navigating these products.

BOA® Fit Dial

We've partnered with Boa® to empower our users to dial into a fast, effortless, precise fit. We wanted to make sure that we could accommodate our users with low hand dexterity to make the fitting process as simple as possible. Therefore, we've designed the product to allow for the Boa® Dial to be on either side of the brace, medial or lateral, depending on preference. We've created a video to show how to change the strap to fit either side, as well as how to use the strap for those that may not want to twist the dial to tighten or loosen the strap.

CoolFlow Liner

Our CoolFlow Liner on every product is designed to increase airflow and reduce total contact area with the skin. However, we know that this product is something that our users interact with daily, and therefore may need to be washed! Our unique design allows our liners to be removed from the brace and hand washed as frequently as needed.

Trimming the Footplate

Our all-sizes-in-one design allows for each product to be customized to each patient. Our products may be used outside a clinic, like a hospital, and we know it's important to ensure that trimming the footplate is efficient. We've created a video to show a few tricks, like heating it slightly with a heat gun, to make the trimming process easier.
